In the last few years there have been a plethora of cheap,copycat imitation shutters that have hit the market.

These generic, unbranded shutters are marketed by many of the large stores with the impression that they are their shutters, but in fact these poorly made shutters come from sweatshops in China,under contract.

They have a low quality paint finish,rustic hardware and components and overall inferior level of workmanship.

Poor paint finish
Uneven size louvres
Rusted hinge pins
Non adjustable hinges (harder  fitting for out of square windows)
Sagging panels
Wrong deductions made for mounting types
Not made perfectly to sizes requested
Many more defects to mention


I myself was baited by these junk shutters in 2007
but stopped using them after only 10 jobs due to the severe quality defects
